LG Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
LG counter-depth refrigerators have a lot of storage into a small footprint. Counter-depth refrigerators are cheaper than standard-depth French-door fridges, and they can eliminate the requirement for an under-counter freezer. The LG Smart Mirror InstaView counter-depth refrigerator (LMWC23626S) is no exception and offers the capacity of a standard fridge in contemporary, sleek design, with an integrated dispenser for easy access to water that is filtered.
french door fridge freezer -resistant stainless steel finish and a mirrored InstaView panel that adds to the modern look of the interior. The door bins have plenty of space, and the top shelf can be folded down to create a half depth shelf to accommodate taller items. A set of crisper drawers are in the bottom of the refrigerator, and the deli drawer with a full width can be used for meat or produce.
The refrigerator has a recessed icemaker on the back wall. This reduces space and allows you to store more bags of ice. The refrigerator is equipped with a door cooling system that uses vents on the freezer and fridge door to push cold air in. It prevents hot spots and keeps temperatures more uniform throughout the refrigerator.
This LG refrigerator was a standout during our tests. It has ample space to provide for a family, however, we noticed a few unsettling flaws. First the freezer drawers do not stay at the temperature we'd like. The temperature of the middle drawer reached 41° during our maximum use test, which is sufficient to freeze ice cream or other frozen foods. The temperature in the rest of the freezer remained at about 36 degrees.
Another issue is that refrigerator doors have sunken handles on the inside and underneath which makes it difficult for shorter people to comfortably move them closed. This may seem minor but we prefer front mounted handles on refrigerators, as they are more convenient to open and close.
The fridge is expensive, but it's worth it for anyone who wants an ultra-sleek look in their kitchen. This refrigerator is recommended for those who want to upgrade their current fridge or are building new homes and want to have a seamless look for their kitchen.
Samsung Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
Samsung's newest counter-depth French door fridge, the RF23M8090SG, is priced at $4200. It's a good-looking model that boasts useful features like an autofill water pitcher and a temperature-adjustable "FlexZone" drawer. It also does well in our cooling tests, but we're not fans of its gimmicky polygon handles and the bins that are crisper appear a bit fragile.
Bespoke is a feature that makes the RF23M8090SG stand out. It allows you to customize your refrigerator with removable colored panels. There are 11 different color options with pastels through more bright colors. There are also four metallic finishes. Some of these panels can be personalized with photos or text making the fridge a more personal touch point that can match your tie-dye Crocs, Rick Owens dress or Andy Warhol banana neon sign.
The LED lighting can be altered to a different hue, which is a nice option. The interior of the refrigerator has a sleek finish that minimizes the appearance of smudges and makes cleaning easier. The only real drawbacks of the RF23M8090SG is its crowded beverage center, and a little learning curve to open the door-indoor feature which houses a water dispenser and the pitcher. You need to feel for the lever on the underside of the door about halfway down. Once you have it the second door opens up inside the fridge, which houses the docking station for the pitcher as well as the water dispenser.
The 6.8 cubic-foot freezer compartment is large enough to hold a lot of frozen foods and comes with an amazing slide-out drawer system that allows you to get the food you're searching for without opening the entire compartment. The freezer also features an ice-cream bin style compartment to store small items as well as a large capacity storage drawer to store larger frozen items. The drawer can be locked using the use of a password to keep out unwanted guests, and it includes an attractive LED light to let you see what's inside in a glance. The freezer can also track the energy consumption and help you lower your power bill using the SmartThings Energy Mode.

Frigidaire Counter Depth French Door Refrigerator
French door refrigerators provide a sleek appearance to any kitchen and they are suitable for various sizes of rooms. If you're looking to enjoy the convenience of this design without the height, a counter-depth fridge is the best option. This Frigidaire model which we've thoroughly tested and has received an above average rating in our reviews due to its affordable price and thoughtful features like an adjustable temperature drawer.
However, it has a few minor problems. Our test data suggests that the FGHB2866PF can heat up quite often in the freezer, and can become uncomfortably hot in the innermost shelves of the refrigerator. Our heat maps show how the temperature changes minute by minute. The orange region in the top right, representing the butter bin, has been particularly warm throughout the time we tested. This might not seem too bad at first glance but it's a sign that the fridge is spending a large portion of its time above 33 degrees.
It's worth noting that this model isn't Energy Star certified, which could be important to certain buyers. The issue is that the fridge isn't the best. It lacks advanced features and durable construction which makes it difficult to recommend it over more expensive models at this price.
This Frigidaire fridge is identical to the stainless steel model you might see at your local appliance store. It's a great option with a brushed-finish that looks nice and is impervious to scratches. However it's not offering much to differentiate itself from rivals that are more feature-rich and cost less.
